Meet with us and go through your project. Before starting the design process, the most important thing is to think about and understand how the space is going to be used. Your kitchen/furniture design is personal and your style and lifestyle will all be taken into account, Shane will ask you questions about your style, budget and lifestyle.  If you’ve not yet decided, don’t worry, SC Woodcraft will have lots of ideas and talk you through all the options to put you at ease.   Most importantly we want you to enjoy the creative process.

Based upon this consultation we would develop an initial concept design sketch with an estimation of costs. As all our furniture is completely bespoke, it allows us to offer a range of different options and finishes at price points to meet your budget.

Concept Design

If you are happy with the estimated initial costings, we can provide a 3D visual of your space at a small cost that is fully refundable once the order is placed. We would contact you to arrange a follow up meeting to discuss the concept design.

Concept Development

During this stage, we would meet with you to refine the design, appliances and finishes. SC Woodcraft understands that the design process is flexible and we allow for this and we want you to be more than happy with the finished project. We can discuss the cost of various options and put together a final quote.

Deposit Payment

Once the design and costs are agreed and signed off by our client, we would take a non-refundable deposit. At this stage both parties commit to the project and the price, timescale and specification agreed.

Site Survey

We will arrange a site visit to confirm measurements and take photographs so that we can refer to important details.We will identify where the electrical sockets and extraction opening should be located in your kitchen for your electrician and plumber. We are more than happy to liaise  with contractors on site.  We can provide set out drawings for the building contractor.

Commission

When you are ready to commission your project, we prepare a series of detailed technical drawings that our workshop will use to make your furniture. Only once you are completely happy with these drawings will production begin.

Installation

Our trusted team will fit & install in your home with as little disruption to your lives as possible. Often, especially when there is building work to be done, our clients require some flexibility on their furniture delivery, our team tries to work around this.  We would receive final/full payment when the customer is satisfied with the installation & finishes product.
